Around the world, flying clubs are hubs of passion, learning, and innovation — and today, that same global standard is taking shape in Nigeria through the vision of its Chairman, Mr. Ehis Odia and his partner Morrison Odion Okunbor, the promoters of Auxano Aviation.

From its base in Benin City, Auxano Aviation is building a modern aviation ecosystem that opens the skies to everyone — aspiring pilots, aviation enthusiasts, engineers, and visitors. At the center of this movement is the Benin Aero Club, a vibrant community modeled after leading flying clubs abroad. It offers structured flying programs, private pilot mentorship, and hands-on aviation education that meet international best practices. Here, people don’t just learn to fly; they discover a lifelong passion.

Auxano Aviation also provides world-class aircraft sales and maintenance services, representing respected global manufacturers such as Jabiru (Australia) and Comp Air (USA). Its technical division specializes in Rotax engine maintenance, airframe inspections, and light aircraft servicing, giving aircraft owners reliable access to expert care without leaving the country. This combination of training, aircraft acquisition, and technical support creates a seamless aviation experience comparable to top general aviation communities around the world.

The impact on Edo State is profound. Auxano Aviation is creating new jobs, opening pathways for youth to pursue STEM and aviation careers, and positioning Edo as an emerging aviation destination in West Africa. Tourism is boosted as enthusiasts visit the state to experience one of Nigeria’s few functional flying clubs. Local businesses benefit from increased aviation activity, while young people gain exposure to careers they may never have imagined.

For anyone visiting Edo State — whether for business, leisure, or heritage — the Benin Aero Club is a must-see destination. Guests are welcome to stop by, explore the hangar, meet passionate aviators, take discovery flights, or simply enjoy the unique excitement of watching aircraft take off and land up close. The Iyoha’s Celebrate! https://edolegacy.com/the-iyohas-celebrate/ https://edolegacy.com/the-iyohas-celebrate/#respond Fri, 21 Nov 2025 17:57:14 +0000 https://edolegacy.com/?p=1685 A Double Celebration of Legacy and Love: The Iyoha Family Marks Two Remarkable Milestones

In a rare and heartwarming celebration of life, love, and legacy, the Iyoha family recently hosted a grand double celebration in Benin City, Nigeria, honoring two extraordinary milestones — the 75th birthday of their beloved matriarch, Mrs. Ivie Iyoha, and the 50th birthday of her son, Mr. Felix Iyoha Jr.

The event, held in the historic and culturally rich city of Benin, drew family members, friends, and well-wishers from across Nigeria and around the world. It was more than a party; it was a reunion of generations, a joyful reflection on family values, and a testament to the strength of the Iyoha name.

Mrs. Ivie, radiant and full of grace, was celebrated not just for her years, but for her enduring spirit and the lives she has touched. Her son, Felix Jr., shared the spotlight with humility and gratitude, marking his 50th year surrounded by the love and laughter of those dearest to him.

The evening was filled with music, dancing, and heartfelt tributes — a beautiful blend of tradition and modernity that reflected both the family’s deep cultural roots and their global connections. It was a celebration that reminded everyone present that while time passes, love and legacy endure.

As the Iyoha family looks forward to the years ahead, their double celebration stands as a shining example of what it means to honor the past while embracing the future — together, in joy, and in gratitude.

Spectacular Total Lunar Eclipse Visible Across Nigeria Sunday Night https://edolegacy.com/spectacular-total-lunar-eclipse-visible-across-nigeria-sunday-night/ https://edolegacy.com/spectacular-total-lunar-eclipse-visible-across-nigeria-sunday-night/#respond Mon, 08 Sep 2025 13:48:24 +0000 https://edolegacy.com/?p=1669 Residents of Nigeria and several West African nations will witness a rare celestial display on Sunday, September 7, as a total lunar eclipse bathes the Moon in a dramatic reddish glow for over an hour.

The phenomenon, expected to last about 83 minutes, will be visible across most of Africa, according to the National Television Authority (NTA). Countries set to experience the event include Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Benin, Togo, Niger, Chad, and São Tomé and Príncipe.

While some western locations may miss the earliest phases due to moonrise timing, most of Nigeria will enjoy the full spectacle. Scientists assure the public that the eclipse is safe to view with the naked eye.

A total lunar eclipse occurs when the Sun, Earth, and Moon align, casting Earth’s shadow across the lunar surface. The Moon’s fiery “blood moon” glow is created by sunlight refracting through Earth’s atmosphere.

Unlike solar eclipses, which require protective gear, this lunar eclipse offers a risk-free opportunity for stargazers to witness one of nature’s most stunning cosmic events.

NASA confirms the eclipse will also be visible across Europe, Asia, and Australia.

It’s Mrs. Ajibade Now!” – Temi Otedola Drops Dad’s Name, Sparks Buzz https://edolegacy.com/owerri-is-captured-ojukwu-flees-his-enclave/ https://edolegacy.com/owerri-is-captured-ojukwu-flees-his-enclave/#respond Tue, 05 Nov 2024 10:03:43 +0000 https://biafranwarreports.com/?p=1458 Temi Otedola, actress and daughter of billionaire mogul Femi Otedola, has officially switched up her identity — and social media can’t keep calm. The fashion starlet shocked fans after dropping her famous surname and reintroducing herself as Temiloluwa Ajibade on Instagram, embracing her new role as Mrs. Ajibade following her marriage to Afrobeats sensation Mr Eazi (Oluwatosin Ajibade).

The couple, who sealed their love in lavish weddings across Monaco, Dubai, and Iceland in 2025, had already captured the public’s imagination with their fairy-tale romance. From a glamorous Yoruba traditional wedding in Dubai to a dreamy church ceremony in Iceland, their union was a cultural-meets-global spectacle. But it was Temi’s public adoption of her husband’s name that reignited a long-standing cultural debate.

On X (Twitter), feminists, traditionalists, and casual onlookers all had something to say. Some praised her as a “true feminine wife” embracing her husband fully, while others criticized the move as a relic of colonial and patriarchal influence.

One feminist voice argued, “You can absolutely keep your name after marriage and nothing changes. A name doesn’t hold a marriage together; character and loyalty do.” Meanwhile, others clapped back, insisting Temi made the right call: “Congratulations to her, that’s how feminine women move. Men deserve wives who take their surname proudly.”

Of course, the class commentary couldn’t be ignored. Some mocked women from less wealthy backgrounds who refuse to change their names, with one user quipping, “Poor man’s daughter go say she must keep her papa name o.” Another fired shots at critics, writing, “Most of you aren’t even proud of your fathers’ names — let her be proud of her husband’s.”

Even Temi’s billionaire father, Femi Otedola, added his voice at the wedding, giving advice that sparked more conversation: “You have to succumb to your husband; he’s your boss. Temi, I wish you the best. You found a great guy.” For some, it was a heartfelt blessing. For others, it sounded like old-school patriarchy.

But at the center of it all, Temi stood firm, glowing in love and unbothered by the noise. By proudly swapping “Otedola” for “Ajibade,” she’s made her choice — one that symbolizes not just marriage, but also her personal definition of identity and partnership.

And whether Nigerians see it as submission, unity, or pure romance, one thing is certain: it’s Mrs. Ajibade now!

Hilda Baci Aims to Cook 250 Bags of Rice for Jollof World Record Attempt. https://edolegacy.com/gutted-hamlets-rotting-corpses-this-is-genocide/ https://edolegacy.com/gutted-hamlets-rotting-corpses-this-is-genocide/#respond Mon, 04 Nov 2024 15:44:52 +0000 https://biafranwarreports.com/?p=1448 Nigerian chef and Guinness World Record holder Hilda Effiong Bassey, known as Hilda Baci, has announced plans to cook 250 bags of rice in what she calls the world’s largest pot of jollof rice. Baci, who became globally recognized in 2023 after setting the record for the longest cooking marathon, shared details of this new challenge on her Instagram on Monday.

The specially made pot for this massive cooking project can hold 22,619 litres. Baci aims to fill it up to 75-80% capacity, which will require about 5,278 kilograms of basmati rice. Although this weight equates to 264 bags of rice, she decided to use 250 bags for the attempt.

She also shared the quantities of condiments needed, including 1,583 kilograms of tomato paste. To maintain authentic flavor, the tomato base will be distributed equally among tomato paste, pepper chicken paste, and jollof paste. Baci explained that while one kilogram of rice generally requires 0.20 to 0.35 kilograms of paste, she will use 0.30 kilograms per kilogram of rice to bring out the signature taste of Nigerian jollof rice.
